TAGES is one of the project partners of the OPENiSME which is a co-funded project by the CIP Programme of the European Union, designed to help unlock the innovation capacity for smaller firms that aspire to grow, through the facilitation of new “Open Innovation” partnerships, primarily between SMEs and research institutions. In this respect, TAGES provides the SMEs with free consultancy service to define their R&D and innovation problem and find the right experts through the OPENISME Platform.
Recently, TAGES met the Turkish SMEs and introduced them OPENISME Platform during H2020 SME Instrument Programme Info Day organized by Enterprise Europe Network Istanbul and TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) and during the training event of the KOBIMEN project funded by TUBITAK and organized by EGESYS. Both two events were held in Taksim Elite World Prestige Hotel on Feb 9, 2016. TAGES had an OPENISME stand there and Aslihan Kagnici, the Projects Consultant of TAGES showed and explained OPENISME Platform one by one to the interested SMEs and also to the mentors for their future interest and use.

H2020 SME Instrument Programme Info Day started with the opening speech of Hakan Karatas, TUBITAK H2020 Turkey Coordinator. Mr. Karatas shared the statistics of innovation investments in the world and pointed out the given importance to the bilateral cooperation between Turkey and the other countries. The event continued with the presentation of Dr. Bernd Reichert, EC H2020 SME Instrument Unit Director. Mr. Reichert informed the attendees about how to apply to H2020 SME Instrument Programme and pointed out some important points about application process. After his presentation, Prof. Dr. Aytul Ercil, Cofounder of Vispera, shared their experiences on preparation and application process of SME Instrument Programme Projects and then Haluk Gokmen, Cofounder of EGESYS informed the attendees about the Kobimen Akademi (in Turkish SME Mentoring Academy) Project which was supported by TUBITAK. He stated that they have started training of potential mentors in Turkey and they would train 600 mentor candidates in Turkey.
In parallel to this event, a training event of KOBIMEN Project was organized to inform the mentor candidates about the project. Leyla Arsan, CEO of TAGES and Erdem Gulgener, Board Member of TAGES shared their EU project management and coordination experiences.
